greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

For the past month, I have been concerned with a problem with my heart. Last month I was hospitalized for atrial fibrillation. This past week, I wore a heart monitor for 48 hours....and today the results came in. MY HEART IS PERFECTLY ALL RIGHT! YIPPEE! Oy vey! I'm so happy! In this week of some negative posts, I think this is a wonderful way to end the week! God bless!

Me too Ardie!! Extreme shortness of breath. All heart test A-OK, Found out that one of the blood pressure meds was causing the problem. Really afraid that surgery would be required. Like getting to start over again, isn't it?? Take good care of yourself. WE are the lucky ones.

Ardie,

That is great news. We all have so much to be thankful for. And knowing that the health of those we love and care about is not in question is truly a blessing for everyone. So now, keep that ticker going strong by loving alot.

Congrats, Ardie! I remember waiting for test results and thinking if I DIDN'T have a problem before, all this anxiety would likely give me one. ;o)

Hi Ardie,,so happy for you! Great news!!!,,I had the same problem, had to wear a monitor,,was put on the heart machine where they put all those wires on you,.,(3 times)..test results--nothing wrong with my heart..I did a lot of research,,plus my doctor suspected extreme stress over long period,,he was right. Also found some food additives. Found out about artificial sweetner that cause increase heartbeat,(NUTRA SWEET),I was using it regularly. Very bad for heart. Some medical people are speaking out against it. There are a lot of foods and drinks that have that in them. I always check ingredients if I suspect. Some ice creams have ingredients that trigger fast heartbeat too. Than I found that dogs and/or cats that are very dirty,,(dog/cat dandruff, filth in hair) was triggering attacks. I worked for Animal shelter,,grooming shops, etc. It sent me to hospital ER before I finally found that out. I raise dogs, and my animals are very clean,,so no problem with allergys.***

Doing research and becoming aware of allergic reactions, has helped me a lot. I haven't had any serious problems for a few years now,,since I found all this out. Just some things you might want to be aware of if you aren't already.***If you have any information you would like to share I would love to receive it,,,Take care,,All good things come from God,,,

We all can appreciate GOOD news for a change, I am so relieved for you Ardie!!!

I occasionally suffer heart/chest pain and even get nasty PVC runs at times, especially if I have been under alot of stress and pressure. Had all the classic tests, echo, 30 days of wearing a monitor (really pain in the patoot there!!!), blood workup, and a full blown stress test.

Dr.'s could find nothing inherently wrong other than stress, so I worked diligently on that aspect of my life.

Life is too short to screw it up, good to alter the things you can ASAP.

Glad to hear the good news, Ardie. Sometimes, waiting to hear the news on test results is almost as bad as knowing the results of those same tests was not good. In your case, what a relief, eh? Congratulations on your Crest test.
