I' d like to buy one of the above mentioned lenses: Tokina 24-200 or Tamron 24-135. Any ideas about their performance or similar Canon lenses?

Hi,

I see we have the same questions. Did you get any answer up to now? Did you decide or buy a lense?

I bought Tokina 24-200. Being aware of zoom lenses' limitations, I didn't expect any stellar performance. I was pleasantly surprised to see the this lens is very sharp and produces fine colours. Little vignetting problems when shooting wide open, but no problem after from f 5.6 and beyond. Zoom range is extremely helpful, especially if you want a good travel lens. I didn't regret this buy.

I was looking for information on this lens and your reply has inspired me to purchase the lens. I am looking for just that range!
