Does a Brown Swiss produce cream in the amount that a Jersey does?

Brown Swiss will give between 45 and 60 pounds of milk with a 3.5 to 4.0 butterfat. Slightly higher than a Holstein and lower production. Much higher production than a Jersey and lower butterfat. A Jersey is around 4.2 to 4.4 butterfat. A brown swiss is a very calm cow in general.

Oh....forgot to say...hubby was dictating over my shoulder last night as I answered your question.... I wouldn't have known the percents by myself...but I do know that for a comparision store bought whole milk is going to be 3.4 or so. Just thought that I would add that in case you didn't know and wanted to make a comparison to something that is familiar. :~)!!

No, how dumb do you think we are! Don't answer that! heeheehee!.....they give Swiss Miss cocoa! But only in the Summer. In the Winter they give Milkshakes! But only if you spook em! If they get the hiccups they give butter!
