Any copy-cat recipes for D-Snore? (D-S uses natural oils)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I have a snoring husband. I'm tempted to ask him to try a product called D-Snore. I found a web site selling it and checked out the ingredients. I just wonder if anyone knows of a home recipe that copies it? Thanks! The ingredients included in D-Snore are Sweet Almond Oil, Sesame Oil, Olive Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Lecithin, Orange Seed Extract in a base of Glycerine, Purified de-ionized water, Natural Peppermint Extract and no artificial colors or flavours. Renee, if you can't come up with anything on D-Snore, have him try the Breathe-Right nasal strips. They are wonderful for sinuses and seem to reduce snoring to some extent, too. I hope this helps.

Thanks Gary but we tried them. They seemed to help a little at first.. but after awhile they didn't help at all. I do appreciate the suggestion! Renee

When i use D-snore it helps,so the wife says.Have used the strips and try to reuse them also to save on costs. Guess i never thought about makeing some. So from personal experience and the cost which is minimal , go for it.

Thanks. Maybe I'll just have to buy it! Good to hear that the product does work. Renee

It might be snake oil, LOL! From what I understand "D-Snore" is sprayed on the back of the throat and keeps it moisturized through the night. Supposedly it will at least reduce snoring. If I can fall asleep before my husband goes into a deep sleep I'm usually OK. Otherwise it is a very noisy night for me!
