Back about 400 years ago [more or less] ole jeep and this hillbilly were just pups. Older brother got to callin us the "I want and gimme gang" because we were always wantin something. About all we had to do was let him know and we'd usually get it---in spite of what pap said! He'd kinda sneek it to us behind paps back cause he was a lot simpler than tryin to explain it. I remember one Christmas JB bought ole jeep and me new softballs amongst other thngs. All the stuff he bought us was just put into a brown paper bag---top kinda squeezed together and a sting tied around it. "No use wastin money on paper when they just tear it off anyhow---put that money to good use buyin presents!"

Cane'n chairs was something we did as a kid to make a little money. Usin mostly hickory for the "cane'n" material but maple would work about as well. Gatherin scrap iron to sell for cash was also considered a worthwhile occupation. Onliest thing with it was we had to sell it to our grandpa and uncle. They were in cahoots together and would "peel" anybody. FAmily was not excluded!!!! We still would make enough money to buy some things. I've gotten older and a whole lot smarter since those long ago days. Well---I'm not sure if I'm smarter or just lazier!!!

Believe times have changed to such a degree that most all of those old time moneymakin ideas are not completely and totally obsolete! Junk lines the roadway ditches now and "dumps" are illegally strung out across the countryside. Old appliances, cars and housetrash are not exempt from this cowardly deposting in the country. It's a shame that welfare has to be so good for the lazy loafers. I think if able bodied adults are drawing welfart they should have to earn it a little by pickin up trash and junk. I'll probably draw a lot of critism but that's ok. It's true! Old hoot. Matt.24:44

All my friends and family say I was born 100 years to late, all because I take pride in the land and what God has given us. I am proud to say I did it myself.I believe that as a nation we do have it to easy.We take so much and give only a little. I want my son to be able to do everything himself, instead of rely on others. If we all did alittle, alot would get done. I am afraid to say that the short time I was on welfare, that most of the people I saw were lazy and wanted everything given to them. It made me so humiliated that I worked harder to get off. Now 7 years later, I still see some of the same people with their hands out. They have learned nothing but put out your hand and we will put something in it. It makes it so hard for those who are really trying. I challenge everyone of you to mentor someone who needs help and show them how to be productive. It may seem stupid to show someone how to can or sew or even budget, but people need this stuff and aren't being taught. I no I am rambling, but some times I feel so helpless when I see children suffering because their parents don't know.Any way next time you see trash laying around, pick it up and maybe the person behind you will see you and do the same!God Bless
