Record Player Needles

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

We have an old Phico record player, that my children love playing with. The needle is going to wear out sooner or later, does anyone have a source for needles? Thanks! Jane

I have a few that I could send you to keep you going for while. I do have a young man close to where I live that can get you them. I could give you his address. Now...they are the kind that you just put up the arm ...right. ?? E-mail me and let me know. I never had much luck at radio shack but things could have changed and you do see them on the E-bay auction too.

Not sure what kind you need, but www.JandR.com does have a few high- end ones.

When we lived in Clarksville, TN I was looking for one and someone told me of a shop there. I can't remember the name of it but it put in sound systems for schools and other places. I bought an old system with 8 track, and record player but the needle was shot. They had one on hand - should have ordered a second. You may check under electronics in your local area and start calling. You may have a source in your area.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond, but I have been gone. Thanks for the ideas...I'll try Radio Shack. Our one needle is still okay, so I do have time to order. Thanks anyway for the offer, Helena!

I work for a store called Jerry Raskin's Needle Doctor. We have the worlds largest selection of Phonographs, Needles and Cratridges. I'll bet we can get your needle. www.needledoctor.com
