bunny is sick, please help

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

My best friend just got 3 bunnies at auction for her children. One of them has an enlarged groin area that has gotten even worse overnight. Can anyone tell us what this and what to do? The vet is going to charge her $30. just to look at it. Thank you! Penny

These people got the smarts on rabbits.

She needs to isolate it from the other bunnies. If the bunny is suffering, get it to the vet. Then once you build a relationship with the vet, he will likely prescribe stuff over the phone for you. I never have to take a bunny in anymore I just call and talk to them and go by and pick up medication or whatever. But if one was really sick or really suffering I'd load em up and take em! suzy (I have 22 bunnies as of right now)
