Is my 28mm f2.8 FD lens repairable?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon FD : One Thread

Ummm, I, er, dropped my old 28mm F2.8 FD breech lock on its nose. No visible damage was done and optically it seems fine. However, the focus now binds a bit at the close focusing range and the lens no longer couples reliably with the match needle mechanism in my F1 (my other lenses work fine). Is this user repairable? I'm sure a shop, out of necessity, would have to charge more than this relatively mediocre and inexpensive (but useful) lens is worth.

Also, is there any Canon lens repair tutorial source on the Web? The disassembly procedure eludes me.
