remounting lens procedure with ttl prism

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

Hi, quick question about the using the ttl metered prism, after removing the prism(which unfortuneately i find myself doing frequently in order to see the whole image) the lens has to be removed and replaced in order to use the meter again, my question, is it allright to remount the prism and THEN remove and replace the lens,

or must you remove the lens before remounting the prism and then put the lens back on? i have been doing it the first way which seems to work, but am worried that this may put stress on the seemingly delicate aperture coupling chain.

Thanks David Bick

I use the 67 for aerial photography with 5 different lens which I am continually changing during flight as conditions change. I don't do this delicately, but am probably a little rough on all the equipment. In 20 years using the Pentax I have been unable to damage anything due to my continuous lens changing. I wouldn't worry about it David.
