have you noticed that the little known places that terrorists could hit us are being plastered all over the news?? i have heard of places where deadly gasses are being stored and how nuclear plants etc are not prepared for this. also where our weak spots are. these things the general public has had no knowledge of till now. does the media not think they are giving ideas to these terrorists?? have we not learned ANYTHING from sept 11????!!!!!!!this country need to shut up. and tighten up. i truly fear for her.

The terriorists more than likely know more than we do where everything is. Don't forget we still have traitors in this country that will tell all for a few big bucks !! Think they should just shoot them instead of sending to prison and all of that good stuff. But yes, think we should be a little more private about things too. But yet again you will get all the news people saying it is the freedom to tell all to the American people too. I don't know....but the old saying might be true at this time in our country too ..."loose lips sink ships" !! God Help America !!!!

At this point the "wannabe terrorists" scare me almost as much as the true terrorists. There are always going to be people who want their moment of fame and get their nutty ideas from watching what others do to gain fame. They would have no access to this information in most cases except through the news media. I think you're right when you say loose lips sink ships.

I think that the Government knows far more than is being said. As for the news media, have they ever been known to shut the H*ll up?! I've often commented that they must be paid by the word cause they rarely are without them!

I have thought the same thing myself.....too much chat. The Gulf War was an armchair war, and I was furious then as well as now. Sometimes it almost feels like we are being herded or lead down a path. hmmmmmmm While people are concerned, I have seen none of the rampet fear that the news media keeps talking of. The new CIA show kinda makes me uneasy too, as do the talk of ID cards. I would hate to see a terroist act, allow our freedoms to be taken or given gladly for safty. Well our PO was closed twice last week for white powder and last nite a whole block of downtown went up in flames.... hopefully it was pranks and bad wiring..

Well, one of the most dangerous of all storage sites in the country is not too far from here, and it WAS described on the news. So I guess that they ARE willing to give out target info.Also, I learned from my neighbor (who contacted the FBI with this info yesterday) that there are literally thousands of trucks on the highway (in order to avoid cluing in any terrorists myself, I won't say what's in them), which carry an extremely toxic material, which are simple targets for a hijacking minded terrorist. He mentioned that when he worked for XXXX, they had had several ruptures of these trucks, due to normal traffic accidents. One of the accidents involved the tank breaking in half when the truck drove off the overpass of one Interstate onto another Interstate. This happened at four o'clock a.m, but he said that if it had been during the work day, tens of thousands of folks would have died, as this intersection was directly next to, and upwind from, a major city.
This is the kind of thing we have already been put at risk by, due to these big companies disregard for human safety. This particular company (the one shipping the toxic chemical) is also one of the ones interested in a pipeline thru Afghanistan, for what it's worth.

There is/was a Egyptian micro-biologist living about 15 miles from here. I know for a fact that he is a mico biologist and that he paid 500K cash for the farm they bought. ( I have shown them property in my job) This man and his 2 son-in-laws (rumor has it, left the wives 9/10/01 and have not been seen since. The FBI was contacted and sorta "blew" the caller away, by saying we have all kinds of reports and we need proof. Thought proof was their job? Apparently he was in charge of the flu vacine for Florida(rumor) or worked for the WHO (World Health Organization) I have his name if anyone wishes to email me private. Dunno what good it will do to know it tho.

As a member of that much-aligned media (for the past 21 years) perhaps many reports think it's important that maybe members of the community need to know if there are dangerous chemicals or whatever stored in their areas.....if members of the community know it already chances are the terrorists already do too...there is a fine line between the public's right to know and censorship....
