Hi, I have a Canon EOS 5, 35-135mm(u)Lense and Flash 540EZ. My question is, why my Flash (ATTL)indicate 80mm and 105mm when I set lense at 100mm and 135mm respectively, below 80mm is normal. I have check with other lense the result is the same but I don't have another flash to try.

Your flash's head will zoom to an equal or wider (lower number) than the lens's zoom position, and the flash only has 24, 28, 35, 50, 80 and 105mm positions. So with your lens at 100mm, the flash will display the wider 85mm position, but with the lens set to 105 (or there abouts) or greater, the flash switches to 105mm, and stays at that position for any lens position longer than 105mm.

This is done to make sure that the flash's zoom head is wide enough to cover the whole area that your lens is seeing.

Anyway, it sounds like your flash is working like it was designed to do.
