When I cook at church camp, we make spaghetti alot.I usually brown between 5-10lbs of hamberger(can be more if you want more or less),I make my own spaghetti seasoning but you could read label and guess.Anyway I add about 2 cups seasoning with about 2cups water. Here's the secret, tomato soup. I buy it in the big 2quart cans.It usually takes about 2-4 cans depending on amount of people. Then I will add a big can of diced tomatoes. If you think it is too thick add tomatoe sauce or juice.Hope this helps.

My recipe is really fast and easy! I put a pound of ground beef for every half gallon that I will make. You don't have to have that much meat, but my hubby likes it that way. I have a friend who also adds some italian sausage, but that is kinda expensive and I am cheap! Anyway......for about a gallon of it I put in the two pounds of ground meat, 2 quarts of tomatoes(home canned, but could use store bought)and put them through the blender first, then add a can of tomato paste, a couple or three cans of sauce(the small ones) and then dump some chunky home made picante sauce in for spicing it up a bit. Then add about 2 tablespoons of italian seasoning, a teaspoon or more of chopped garlic, some chopped parsley(fresh if you have it and dry if you don't) and then let it simmer just a bit. You don't have to have the chunky picante sauce, but we like things a bit spicy around here! It also gives some nice veggie chunks to the sauce. This is also good for dipping bread sticks into. Shhh, don't tell the kids, but I also throw in a zuchinni into the blender when I whirl around the tomatoes, if I have the garden going at the time.
