I love this forum. This is my first time here. Someone posted about a chocolate fudge cake in the crockpot. Could you give the recipe?

Hey, Judy, I think it was me-I baked one the other day anyway. Heres the recipe

1cup packed brown sugar 1cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup plus three tablespoons unsweetened cocoa 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 2teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/2 cup milk 2 tablespoons margerine or butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1 3/4 cups boiling water

Mix 1 cup brown sugar, flour 3 T. cocoa baking powder, and salt together in mixing bowl. Stir in milk, margerine and vanilla. Spread over the bottom of the crock pot.

In another bowl, mix together the 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa sprinkle evenly over mixture in crock-pot. Do not stir Then pour in the boiling water. Do not stir. Cover and cook on high 2-3 hours until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Serve warm with ice-cream or whipped topping, if desired

Notes-this is a VERY RICH Cake. Also, my brown sugar tastes a little molassis-y which gave the cake an odd taste-Use good brown sugar-or white sugar in the cake. This cake is very gloppy-be prepared! But its pretty good. I like to have something like this when the rest of the meal is pretty plain or not a favorite meal

Thanks Kelly! I have never made a cake in a crock before. My kids thank you too.
