Two "halves" of a large highline pole split. About 4 feet in length - both lay'n flat side down. A small chain nailed to each one with about a foot in between'm. A couple 2x4's nailed on'm both to keep'm about a foot apart. Throw a concrete block or two on't and hook the tow'n chain around the hitchball of the Troy Bilt mower. Head down the little gravel road a drag'n and smooth'n the gravel down to fill up little ruts and smooth out the little humps.

Sometimes when it's a nice fall day, wind blow'n, leaves fly'n and geese fly'n it almost brings tears to this old hillbilly's eyes! Winter is on it's way and there ain't a thing I can do about it. I'd like the weather to stay just like it is today until about April and then warm up a mite. I have a tempature differential of about 2 degrees! Lil Dumplin is worse than that!!!! She's had her electric blanket out and workin for about a month now! Course, she has her winder open a mite but thats ok rekon. I keep mine open about 2" all winter except the coldest of days. Why not? I paid good money for that propane and I feel like it's my obligation to help out the refiners of L.P.!!!!

Was watchin some big crows this mornin --out in our field. Kinda reminded me of Texas in the wintertime. Lil DUmplin is a Texan, ya'll know! Boy, that reminds me----I thought I was marrin the daughter of a rich Texas oil man. She thought she was marrin the handsum, good lookin, purty son of a rich Illinois farmer. Boy----was we both surprised!!! Well-that's what we tell folks. Sounds good, don't it?

Time changes things. It seems like just yesterday we were gett'n married. I WAS good lookin, slim and full of life back then. Now I'm old, fat and beat up a bunch! What used to be a rite smart good lookin face is now an ugly old mug. Who said time was our friend?

Anyhow---I have gotten uglier through the years and Jesus Christ has been there everyday to see me age. I'm sure my commitment to Him over 40 years ago is still intact and will be for all eternity!
