Summer is over I rekon. [Matt.24:44]

Well the summer is over and I "grasshoppered" it away! The fall rains have set in in earnest, I rekon. Lil Dumplin and the old hillbily got home about an hour ago and it was rain'n right down. I hurried and carried the "stuff" we bought into the house. Came back out and undloaded the back of the old Chevy 4 wheel pull pickup. A cuttin torch, two bottles, a genset and a tool box. Hook'd'm up inside the shop-test fired the genset on propane---hurried around and drove the old Chev down north to the grasswaterway where I had my chimney pipe layin since last winter. Drug it up to the shop and unhooked the log chain. Parked the truck, locked up the shed and made a mad dash for the house. Here I set--wet from the rain and sweat but happy!

Still "hot" outside and not much cooler inside either. Must be 100 degrees in here! May just have to kick on the a/c for a spell. Orta enjoy it cause tomorrow it'll be the furnace what's burn'n up my money! Bought gasoline today in Vincennes Indiana for .99 a gallon. Come back in Illinois and it's $1.16 in Olney! Something just don't add up somewhere and I "ain't" smart nuff to figger it out!

Well-time for this big ugly hillbilly to get a quart of iced TTTTTTTTTTT---with sweet'n'low. I don't need any sugar as my old blood is sweet nuff! Got the "sugar" down in my oil to 153 this am. I'm gettn there!

Who said they were buildin apple pie! Melissa. Was that ya'll? Or was it Choc cake? Oh well, Lil Dumplin is still home and wouldn't let me have no choc cake or apple pie. Unless-----! She leaves again tomorrow! Hummmmmmmmmmmm.

NO more diabetes, heart problems, blindness or any other devil delivered sickness or disease on anybody that spends eternity in Heaven with Jesus Christ! It wouldn't be "Heaven" if we carried all that garbage with us there! Old hoot. Matt.24:44

I was talking about pie crust earlier, but a chocolate cake sounds good any time! Glad you found your genset!
