What does it look like? I will look for some at my favorite dump picking places.

Are you talking about the part of a generator with the wires, switches and outlets?

This genset is a little gasoline engine of either a 1 or 2 cylinder gasoline burner and will have a generator [alternator] attatched directly to the side of the engine. Outlets would be on the end of the alternator. Wires may be there too---depending upon how old the unit is and the brand. Many have been sold in the last 20 years or so to power a house when the grid goes down. These are the fast running 3600 rpm jobbies and eventually the engines will fly apart because of the speed. Most folks just put'm back in the barn or shed to "save" for ----? These are the types I'm lookin for.

Thanks folks. old hoot. Matt.24:44

I'll ask around up here, Hoot -- what state are you in?

Hey Hoot! We had 2 inches of rain a day here for a few days so I didn't get out to the back roads, but I did get out behind the garage and found some stuff you may want.

I have a little MacCullough engine on a weedeater and a Craftsman lawnmower engine that the starting cord will not rewind on. Both these engines worked when they were set back there, but they've sat in the rain for a few seasons. If they are worth the postage to you, you can have them.

Don't worry, Hubby says its okay to give them away. My Daddy taught me right, you don't give away a man's junk without his permission.

If the sun comes out for a few days and I get my chores done I will get out to my favorite dumpsites and look for more stuff.
