Do you use honey in cookies?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I am always trying to adapt recipes to use honey rather than sugar, but putting honey in cookies makes them soft. Do any of you use honey in crisp cookies?

Cathy I had a recipe for peanut butter and honey cookies, i will have to look for it later. If you leave them sit out uncovered for a day they should get a little harder too. Hard to do with kids around though!

When you use honey in baking, use half the amounth of honey that you would in sugar. Sometimes you have to use a little less liquid. All my recipes are packed, but you should be able to adapt it to any recipe.

Hi Cathy,

Lehman's has a very good honey cookbook. Maybe you should add it to your wish list.

I have a banana cookie recipe that I adapted to use honey. If you want it email me.

Alison in N.S.--How about posting the recipe here?! I would like to try the banana cookie recipe, too. Sounds good. Thank you.
