What kind of Person are you?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread |
In a few words, how would you best describe yourself?I'll start! I am honest, frugal, kind, considerate, with a great deal of empathy for people. I can always see both sides of a story. I like to work, especially organize anything, I rarely complain, I have an optimistic nature. I look for the good in everything and everyone. I can make something from nothing. I love people, all shapes and sizes but especially children.

I'm a Christian, wife and mama. I try to be a better person than I FEEL like being. Does that make sense?
-- Jo (mamamia2kids@msn.com), October 13, 2001.
My spiritual gifts are exhorter then giver, somewhat of a teacher and organizer, but not a server, although I have my moments, I could never be a nurse, don't like touching much. I'm almost too empathetic and have learned much understanding-very much. I try to look at things through common sense and I am very analytical. I'm not very trusting and even though my confidence is higher from being on these forums, I could sure use a whole lot more. I rarely lose my temper any more, but when I do, you don't want to be around. I love nature and homestead work. I strive for simplicity. I really love my sense of humor8~}I think the most important thing in the world is our relationship with Christ and the most important thing we can do for others is forgive. I'm a survivor.

I made it to 71 years of age, I am very impatient, Kinda hyper, I love to oil paint. I am real good with colors, I am generous to a fault. I am a Christian, I try to let people be who they want to be, without changeing them, and I will like everyone in spite of there faults. Gee I never gave much thought as to who I am. God Bless Irene

I try to be more Mary than Martha, but it's usually the other way 'round. I try to be a servant, but pride kicks in a lot and wants others to notice what a good job I'm doing. It's hard to be an unnoticed servant. I am busy, generally cheerful, have to keep reminding myself not to take myself too seriously. Have learned to be more laid back lately and give the children a little more slack. They are children, after all, not mini adults. I like a good sense of humour, and have learned to have a good laugh at myself regularly. My deepest desire is to be more like Christ, but have to really work hard at it sometimes. I fight laziness and selfishness and God has helped me gain major victories in this area of my life.Oh, I just realized, Melissa said to do this "in a few words"! Need I mention that I tend to be talkative?? :o)
-- Cathy N. (keeper8@attcanada.ca), October 13, 2001.
A Christian, very honest, wife, mother to all and anyone who needs me, very maternal, very talkative, unorganized about somethings and organized about others, semi-crafty, love simple things, love nature, very opinionated but have learned to hold my tongue with age, take charge type person, impatient, moody at times, love people, I just wonder how honest I'm being here! LOL

I am a bit like cathy I think. I love doing for others and giving but sometimes I'd like to be appreciated for what I do. Then again, when I am I kind of wave it off . How contrary is that??? I am generally a cheery person but have my low moments and do have a temper (just ask the kids). I guess I am just a regular gal!LOL As much as I am tomboyish (is that possible at 34?)or mannish, I still like girly stuff like jewellry and painting my toenails.

I'm usually shy and quiet, unless I'm with a good friend or someone who has a common interest. I like to deal with people one on one. I have a lot of different interests, and try to pursue them all, which can seem scatterbrained and unfocused to others. I can see both sides of a story, and try not to judge people, and to be nice or at least polite. I am creative. As a goatbreeder, the goats have shaped me, have given me an edge. I'm determined and stubborn, but can change when it seems necessary, or that the former course was wrong. How can a person's whole identity be summed up in a few words?

Sonda you crack me up. I'm sure I would love to be friends with you. I want to hear about the manaquin you carried around in your hearse.Anyway, I am a wife, mother, grandmother and a Christian. I love being a farm wife (most of the time). I love dogs and cats especially. I absolutely adore my grandchildren and I tend to mother everyone that is 10 years younger than myself. I am an optimist, but not a leader. I very much do my own thing. I tend to pick friends that love to laugh and joke around. I have been told that I have the gift of encouragement. Jesus is my best friend and wisdom is the only thing I really want. There is more, but this is probably more than you want to know. Ha.

I was timid as a child, Brazil has helped me to be a more outgoing, demonstrative person. I plan new projects, love ideas that are useful, but can get myself into many commitments that I'm unable to finish.I have the critical, perfectionist eye. On the one hand it's losing it's eyesite; on the other, as an editor, I pick up all the little mistakes.
Am foward-looking, what's past is gone forever. The present serves to step forward. One of my work principles is to help people think and analyze for themselves.
And words. I love words, probably because I have loved the Word so much.
