OK What did you think of GWB's Speech last night?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Freedom! self reliance : One Thread

I watched it and dang it All I could get was "Were doing the best we can" / "Afgan will be a test NWO start up" / "We warned everyone to do it our way".

Did i miss something?

I for one feel we have already lost some rights and will probably loose more as this "Different kind of war" rages on.

If I understood GWB correctly there were indeed a Real and Vital threat of more terriorism. duh?

Wish i had a quick fix i would share it but i don't. :o(

I liked it. Call me a sappy old-fashioned patriot, but there is something to be said for a President who can rally over 90% of the citizens of this country to support him and his actions. I clapped today when I heard him say "They will NOT take this country down!"...go get 'em GW.......high noon at the OK corral and all that other stuff. Lastly, about time we had a leader who shows he has some good old guts and will not allow our nation to be whipped by a bunch of yeehaws who murder innocent civilians. Politics and leadership in this country has been too long in the hands of folks who are afraid to be politically incorrect, and God forbid, offend someone in the world.

One thing that I said from the beginning of this whole mess is that I am SO glad we have GW in office right now. If he did not have the backbone to go to war you can bet that his daddy's friends in Texas would be all over him, "helping" him to make the decision!

DID dubya really rally 90% of the masses? I'm skeptical. I see a little "public media influencing" or something. I live in a very conservative county (one of the rural ones who actually voted for Georgie boy, without having to fake the count (!), and the unofficial count around here seems to be running pretty much fifty-fifty.

LOL, when we moved up here to VA from FL we smuggled out a couple of 'pregnant chads' to keep them from having babies.

No joke, my hubby told some guy in Kansas that when he was trying to interview someone from the courthouse and he thought he was serious.

There are a lot of people in this country who would like to see dubya dead. We stopped in at a gas station and the cashier said her professor was talking about a group that promised to get rid of him if it turned out he won the election. Course a lot of people just want to flap their jawsssss.

Well, Joe may be right. I can never remember Clinton getting more than 10% approval around here and we're nearly socialists!
