Will the West Coast be the first to go?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Wild Wild West : One Thread

The AWACS are on the way, but it will still be a few days before they begin to patrol the coast. Doesn't seem like only 5 of them are going to help all that much anyway. Cold fronts are currently stacked up and coming in succession across the country from the Northwest. These fronts can be used very effectively to assist in spreading anthrax, as they can carry it from the West Coast across a good part of the country. It would make sense that they would be more likely to start the spreading somewhere in the Western part of the country, perhaps even out over the Pacific ocean. They may also be planning to take advantage of obvious holes in our security and do it before the AWACS begin to patrol regularly. I bet that large numbers of victims will begin to turn up in our Western cities within the next week or so, and hopefully less victims appearing to the East within the following weeks. Good luck.

Sure hope those fronts bring some rain to SoCal. Sposed to be in the nineties this weekend with offshore Santa Ana winds baking us inland folk back to triple digits. Anthrax? Wait till I have time.

Seriously, the anthrax deal isn't worth worrying about unless you're already prepared for the next asteroid strike and have some energy left over.

"Anthrax? Wait till I have time."

Somehow I don't think Al Qaeda is going to wait until you are ready! Since the gubmint ain't gonna have enough vaccine until 2004, I don't think time is on our side.
