For Immediate Release

October 11, 2001 Washington D.C.

FBI National Press Office

Certain information, while not specific as to target, gives the government reason to believe that there may be additional terrorist attacks within the United States and against U.S. interests overseas over the next several days. The FBI has again alerted all local law enforcement to be on the highest alert and we call on all people to immediately notify the FBI and local law enforcement of any unusual or suspicious activity.

Let's hope and pray that they won't!

Won't happen, that is...

I can't begin to figure how the F.B.I. is handling all of this. They are constantly inviting reports of suspicious goings-on. With the average expectancy of some 99% being blind alleys, it would seem to me that wading through tens of thousands of these reports would be more than they would be able to handle.

They must be passing them to local law enforcement, who must then determine the level of response. This opinion is based on a local event I witnessed two days ago concerning someone taking photos in the LA/LB Harbor. Sorry, I can't give more details.

I find it rather interesting that they waited until the East Coast Markets were closed before they issued this press release.
