ok,, heres my idea,,, I have one of those small,, juicers, sausage stuffers,, cast irons, ,hand crank, thingy. Im goign to puree some apples,, put them in that and squeeze out the juice. Then use the pulp to make fruit leather. Think it will work? I know I wont get all the juice out,, but thats ok. What do you think?

It will work (sort of). The leather will not be as strong flavored and sometimes there will be a metal taste from the grinder. Go ahead and have fun trying it. Luck. Don

Why don't you just make applesauce, spread on sheets and dry in your dehydrator if you have on or in an oven with just the pilot on. I have been making my fruit leathers that way for about 30 years. Sometimes, with the apple leather, I mix in ground peanuts....tastes like taffy apples when dried.

I wanted some juice also,, for vinegaer,, but am wondering what to do with the pulp, ,beside just compost it,, no critters to eat it. And isnt apple sauce just ground up apples, like what IM doing?
