Wondering what your thinking?

Well that is a tall order as my feelings are many. I'll list them here.

Things I think:

1) I think our President has exemplified the character of the office of the President of the United States. I believe he has shown more dignity than any President in my lifetime, including President Ronald Reagan whom I highly respect. George W Bush is helping to restore my faith in my country. I am really so very proud of him. I see the hand of God in his being in this office during this tragedy that his predecessor helped to create. It frightens me to think how close we came to having that namby pamby Gore in office.

2) I think that these terrorists need to be taught a severe lesson. I am one hundred percent behind our current actions in Afganistan. I am proud of my country which offers humanitarian aid even as it seeks to stomp out the captors of that war torn country. I believe it is time that we stand and say if you touch America's citizens a price will be paid. Osama Bin laden and company have made their bloody bed and now all of those responsible must lie in it.

3)It appalls me that we as a nation had anything to do with this man coming to power. It also emphasizes the need to focus our energies within our own borders during peace time. This does not mean, however that we should abandon our Allies such as Israel. It does mean that we do not need to fight everyone's civil war unless there is a direct national interest or an interest to our allies. It also means that when we are called to arms for a cause we need to not have our forces divided all over the world, but rather that we do one thing right and to completion. I also say that peace keeping forces are unnecessary and simply mean we didn't get the job done.

4) I also think that we should never act under the auspices of the United Nations. I in fact think we should remove ourselves from the United nations and let them find their own money elsewhere. Our armed forces should never be required to wear a united nations uniform or act under orders from the United nations anytime.

5) I think every Man and Woman should seriously consider arming themselves.

I will have to finish this later or I will be late to my appointment.

I saw on TV where right after the bombing started Soldiers were all over airports. The coverage looked like a 3rd world country instead of the USA.

Nahh it's a observation of how people get treated on the web bb's. If your different and speak out You often get "deleted". It's also a popular saying from 1965. Plus it got stuck as my id when Lusenet placed a cookie in my browser.

I couldn't disagree more, Little one.

Herr Busch is the most incompetent, evil dictator wanna be that I've seen in my lifetime.

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”

Dadgummit, but it is good to see you JOE! Life does get rather boring without you around to spice things up a bit! I'm happy to see you put in an appearance. Welcome back.
