The last few weeks have been hectic, to say the least.

On the plus side, they've finally moved me to the office closer to where I live, my son's baseball season is over until spring, my van is fixed and ready to go for inspection, which means I can get building supplies again (I'm down to one sheet of siding, and I need some windows and other lumber).

On the minus side, I STILL don't have the new website up, and Geocities has apparently implemented some new web traffic monitoring thing which they do an an HOURLY basis - so if you're site is busy for an hour, they'll shut it down for "exceeding maximum traffic", even if its virtually ignored the rest of the month. The fact that you may never even get CLOSE to the "monthly maximum" doesn't matter. The morons who hosted my site a couple of years ago STILL won't let go of my site so I can rehost it, and I've been trying to wrest it away from them since July. And here it is October! They "lost" one fax, rejected a second because it wasn't on "letterhead" (I didn't have letterhead when I OPENED the site, why do I have to have it when I'm trying to rehost it???) and have rejected - after a month - the last request because I referred to my website as an "individual" site rather than calling myself the "owner" of the site. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? Very p-o'd here.

*sigh* No time to read, but I'm hopeful that I will be caught up at work in a couple of weeks. On the other hand, once I'm caught up on the transcription at my office, all that means is they'll start sending me the backlog from the other office. Oh well. It's job security, right? Right? LOL!

Sojo, just be glad you are only dealing with idiots instead of elected officals.

Elected officials can be worse than iodits , at least with iodits they arn't smart enough to be sneaky they are just idiots, but elected officials are smart enough to get elected so they are smart enough to be underhanded and sneaky, or at the very least they have someone standing behind them showing them the way. sally
