There is no doubt in my mind that this is Ken Decker, the real Ken Decker. I have always thought that his civility and good language was just a front which was costing him a huge effort to maintain.

How ever it was not cancer that I was struck with (thank the lord above). I was struck with deep vein thrombosis (the blood in my Femoral artery clotted...from my inner thigh to my ankle).

Actually, it was the most painful experience that I have ever encounterd. When it hit! I felt like a tank had run over the whole left leg; then some one set fire to it!

During the 6 days in the hospital, I had two (what they call) pulmonary embolisms) which means that a piece of the larger blood clot broke off, and went to my lungs..And that was also rather painful, not to mention the nurses going into high gear when it happened.

How ever, I am out of it (I hope). And am extending my stammina each day, managing to walk a little further each day. I do resent the coumidine I have to take. But such is the price one has to pay, in order to cleanse the blood clot out of the vein; or so I am told.

It is rather funny really. Coumidin (never could spell that word LOL) is actually Rat Poison! Warfrin...(I know that the ceeper will latch on that thart opening when he comes on this thread.)

I had hoped to be back close to my former physical shape (before the hostilities started in the middle east) - but who could have ever thought that a bunch of terrorists could do what was done on 9-11.
