NEW FORUM (Lucenet - Country Families)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I would like to invite everyone who is interested in family life and living in the country to come to a new forum called COUNTRY FAMILIES. the easiest way to find it is to click on Lusenet at the top of the screen and scroll down to it under active discussions. I haven't been able to advertise it much yet but a few people found it on their own.. I am hoping to keep the focus on family issues, rather than homesteading ones per se. I realize some peoples goats are part of their family!! but this is in response to someone suggesting I start one. Everyone welcome, help get this started!!! Hoot was one of the first to post so I hope he continues to join in.

Hi Melissa,

I must need my eyes checked because I checked out the Lusenet listing and couldn't find your new forum. Hope to see it soon.

Wishing you enough.

I did find your new forum, Melissa but had to go to the entire listing for Lusenet way up at the top of the page. I marked it as a "favorite" until it appears on the regular list of current forums. Good luck with it and I'll check back later.

Wishing you enough.

I found it right above Countryside

That's where I see it right above Countryside, so I hope no one else has a problem.

That is why I spotted it right away because of it being listed just above Countryside.

The forum is going great with several people posting about Family life. Come on over if you get a chance.

The forum seems to be focusing on children, books, gardening, recipes. If you are specifically interested in these things, Please give us some of your advice!

File this one under: "Department of Redundancy Department."

Dear Major, actually the reason the forum began was because I really couldn't find anything quite like it under the Lusenet umbrella of forums and I spent several tedious hours one day going through most of the ones listed under active discussions. Maybe if you aren't interested in home or family life, it may seem boring. But I for one can spend a lot of time discussing these issues with pleasure. Over 40 people have posted so far and there seems to be no sign of it slowing down and this is in only 4 days. I have no problem with this forum at all, just wanted to start one with a more family oriented focus rather than a homesteading one. Sorry if your sensibilities were offended in any way. Just ignore this from now on and you will avoid the problem.

Major - why do you have to be so snippy? Is Melissa's forum hurting you in some way? If you don't want to contribute, don't. If you aren't interested in this thread, quit reading and move on to the next. But I for one don't appreciate you taking a pot shot at someone who is trying to help us help each other. I've already gotten a lot of good information from her forum, and I'm thankful for her effort.

Thanks for your support Cheryl, I really appreciate it.

It was a joke. Apologies offered.

Sorry Major. I guess I am guilty of taking offense too easily. If you have any helpful advice please feel free to visit the forum.

In the last 7 days we have had 415 messages posted. Some of the topics have included current events, money saving, recipes, tightwad tips, a couple of stories from Hoot and several other topics. Come over and check us out.
