Film Acceleration

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

I found some info at the RIT site about film acceleration (processing reversal colour film in D-76 before passing it through C-41 chemistry) that gives strange results (unexpected colours, contrast etc). They say that some Nick Knight pictures were made that way (with EPP film). Has anyone tried it ? Can someone share some more info with me ? How long should I develop in D-76 ? Should I rate the film (EPP) at 1000 ISO as stated on the RIT site ? I would like to do some tests with this technique, and any kind of help would be welcome...
