Cross fencing with electric fencing : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hi, I just finished running the parameter of our pasture with electric fence and want to cross-fence to separate the horse from the goats. Can I just connect the wire to the parameter fence and connect to other side? Or will I need to go back and reconnect the cross-fencing to the energizer box? This gets confusing and I need to get it done ASAP. If anyone can help, I'd sure appreciate it.

Patrice, just go right ahead with the cross fence. You don't need to go back to the energizer. The fact that it loops doesn't matter to the fencer (energizer), it's just like adding another length to the fence.

Patrice, there is no need to go back to the energiser. You only need to connect the cross fencing to the perimeter fence at one end (although I don't see that connecting both ends would cause any problems).

Thanks John and Jennifer. I really appreciate the answers. I'm gonna get to it now.
