Since all this happened in NYC, one thing Ihave noticed is it has sort of shut up talk about gun control. DG

Not only that D.G., but I saw Peter Jennings on ABC News actually did a news segment on all the guns now being sold because of 9/11. The media usually paints gun owners as paranoid; for now, the gun owners are now more accepted. People who were on the fence and who had not wanted to buy a gun because the gun was deemed unsafe have now decided better to have a gun and not need it than the alternative.

Another thing I have noticed is that the ACLU, NAACP, LULAC and other minority groups are NOT screaming bloody murder about the racial profiling going on as far the authorities searching out Arabic people for recent activities. Is that weird or what?

Oh, Cap'n, dear bigot that you are! Did you rush to tell your friends when you first heard the new hate word "rag head"? I'll bet you did. Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, does it? Like Ol' Bessie does? You may be surprised to learn that I am a gun owner. I'm a farmer and I use it to put down animals. It stays in my closet and I don't take it out to fondle or call it Ol' Carl or Ol' Jim. Am I for you or "agin" you (such cute illiteracy you use!)? Why, Cap'n Bigot, I am in an alternative universe from you! And gladly! I was thinking I'd have to defend my position on gun control, and here you did the whole thing for me: hate filled bigots don't need guns.

Whooooeeee ... got me a live un here folks ... and a yungster to boot (and she even knows all them big words and knows how to use em on folks she don't even know ... WHOOOOEEEEE!) Ya see Miss Jenny, I might have a bigut (ain't that what ya said ... big gut - I been known to eat right good at supper time fer sure!), but I don't hate folks what's different en me ... I have partners from all over the world - and none a them take over plane fulls of innocent folks and run em over tall buildings killin other innocent folks. As fer the "rag head" comments, that's just what they wear on their heads (if ya had time to watch the news insteada worrin bout how someone gets his thoughts across) and I calls em like I sees em. I got some buddies what wears rags on their heads and I tease en about it and they tease me bout my big ol gut and my dawgs and yes ... even my way of talkin ... but aint not a one of em tried to harm me or mine or any a my neighbors. Hell, they all know I'd shove ol Bessy up where the sun don't shine, pull the trigger a few times and see ifn they could spit bullets ifn they wus ta start hurtin folks round here, no matter where they come from.

Now that I mull it over a bit, ya probably didn't think ol Cap would know ya thought I hated folks/thangs I didn't understand or that weren't like me, an I know darn well ya didn't take the time to consider I might have a sense of humor, either. I knows that cause ya gotta be too busy judgin folks ta even wonder where they's comin from. So, I'm a bigut, but I'm not a hypocrite with a bigut. An ifn "rag heads" offends ya, I could say "sand pounders" but you'd be talkin bout my big gut again, even though all those folks over there walk around on the sand ever day, poundin it with their little footsies. So you go ahead and figure how ya wants to figure bout folks, and ya might want to think about takin time outta the judges seat to figure out who YOU are and how many faces ya wear. Bein a patriotic, gun totin hillbilly is one thang ... bein a hypocrite - now that's somethin altogether different!
