We just picked ours up today at TSC... They did the valve adjustment and its running great..at least for now .. Its been a piece of crap since the day we brought home. I think their tech finally figured out the valves this time.. (its been back 10 times in three years). Not impressed with the tecumseh and will never buy another. I was recently given a cub cadet with a Kohler (off a junk pile) and the thing has already been more reliable than the Tecumseh.

Mitch - There's a lawn and Garden tractor forum over at garden web. Post your question there and you should get some additional advice. Keep in mind some of those people are pretty passionate; so you'll probably get a few remarks on the tecumseh; plus some good advice. Good luck. D Ray

Yes the answer was there, I did not need to post, just searched their site; Tecumseh OHV engines valves are set at .004 intake and .002 exhaust. Anybody wanna race....
