Fall colors

Poplars, Kimsey Creek Trail, Southern Nantahala Wilderness, North Carolina

Trying to get comments on past autumn photos to work on my technique this year, so I appreciate your input. It's been awhile since I shot this (October 1999), but I believe I used a Minolta MD 50mm f/1.2 at f/8 with a circular polarizer on E100VS.

Christian, I am literally taking you at your word only because you are always so helpful and polite. I usually don't post negative commens. Also, I know how hard it is to get the fall picture you see in your mine. Also, I, too am looking for better ways to take fall leaves. IMHO, the above picture has a sky that is too polarized, a poor light angle and is too late in the season.

I highly recommend this for learning about photographing fall foliage: http://www.photo.net/photo/travel/foliage

Never give up, have patience, pursue good pictures with tenacity.
