How big? Relate to a match head or a pin-head or some common measure.

Sounds like lice. We always used Ivomec when we had pigs. If I remember correctly, we had to do two doses about a week to ten days apart. It is given as a subcutaneous injection. Not too hard to do, but it takes two people!!!! - and it does work very well.

Maureen, Sounds like pig lice too. I don't think that humans are one of its hosts. The Sevin should kill them, just remember you can absorb it through the skin, and use protective gear. The ivermec kills them too. You might treat the pigs bedding too.

Um, if people can absorb Sevin through the skin, wouldn't the pig do so as well? Are you planning to eat the pig? Do you want to eat Sevin? I know nothing about pigs, but those are my thoughts when reading the post above. The only reason I'm reading this thread is because I wanted to know what she found when she turned the pig over!

Hi the reason I turned her over was I trained her lay down and almost roll over...I'm not kidding.. She hangs out with our 3 other dogs and takes walks with us.. We put hog rings in her nose and she gets fed the best pellets in the world. I'm crazy for her.. Also she tri colored real cute... Other than that I don't know what to say... Thanks for all the info. It seems to me I heard there was a oil mix you put on for such things, will look it up if you want. At least you wouldn't have to worry about your little girl being around the pig.lexi
