canning mushrooms

Stacey: I asked the question of the extension service recently, and they replied that you are able to can them, in 1/2 pint sizes only, using a 50-50 ratio of 5% vinegar and water, but didn't give me any timing. I was asking about straight canned mushrooms, and didn't want the vinegar, so don't know. I searched every site, cookbook, etc and couldn't find a method to can them, other than pickled. Jan
