Just rung up GNER for train times & prices to Newcastle for next wed's game v Ipswich. Need to get the 15.00 from Kings X, but can't get back the same night. AND it's £79!

Thing is I need to get back in the office in Chiswick for 9am, and no trains can do it.

How do you London mags do it usually for a night game? DO you drive up? And do you drive back to the smoke the same night? Must be a knackering drive.

Not worth coming up to see Ipswich next on Wednesday. We're playing Leicester ;-)

I did the round trip by car from Toon to WHL last season. Set off from Toon at 13:00ish and got back at 02:00. I wish I could say it was worth it :-(

Nick I think there is an over night bus (serious) along way but yer can do it. I thought that on the return leg of a saver fare you can arrive back into london early, or is it the leaving after work thing?

The National Express leaves Gallowgate at 11 or 11.30 and gets to Victoria before 7 am. It stops everywhere on the M1 & is usually full so don't bank on sleeping all the way. You can get off at Golders Green for the Tube which can help but the coach from London will leave at 1 pm.
