I recall a horse stable on Stanyan St. between Haight and Waller Sts. that burned down in the late 1940s when I was a small boy. Does anyone recall when this happened and any details about this fire?

I was also living in the haight ashbury at the time going to Dudley Stone school, I saw the ending of the fire. I know that the horses there were all killed by the fire. I believe it happen 1948/49? I know I was very upset about it, I use to go by there and visit the horses.
