www.irs.govAnd all of their downloadable forms are in .pdf format and require Adobe Acrobat..if you don't already have it.

There is also 1-800-IRS-FORM for those with more time and less ink. You can mail checks without forms, make sure you clearly show the SSN of the first spouse on your returns.

Where can I get confirmation of a quarterly payment received? My DEAR Hubby didn't think it worth the price of a return reciept requested envelope (not too bright sometimes LOL) and now I can't find the receipt for the MO that was sent (not too organized either, that boy). I know it's been sent, but I don't have any proof. Is there a way to find your current quarterly "balance", as it were?

1-800-IRS-1040. JUST ASK IF AND WHEN PAYMENT WAS RECEIVED.

Thanks, Primrose.

Uh, that's weird. The IRS must have changed their number, or you transcribed it wrong, P. I called three time to be sure and each time I got some sort of "hot dates chat" phone sex line. Which, when you think about what the IRS is doing to all of us, makes a certain kind of ironic sense! ;)
