Duck In The Mist

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Nature Photography Image Critique : One Thread

I was at Split Rock State Park, Minnesota on June 2001 aroung 7pm. It was just after rain so the fog came out from the water of Lake Superior. This duck swam alone in the misty air. Nikon F5, Nikkor AFS 300mm f/4, Fuji Velvia rated at ISO 40, Tripod.

The image is scanned using low resolution to keep the file size low. If you see the image a little blur or unsharp, it is due to the scanning process, not due to the lens. Thanks

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck... it still looks like a duck on film... Sorry, man, there is nothing particularly majestic about ducks. So don't blow a fuse trying to download a picture of a duck, OK?

I also get the "forbidden" message.

With the lack of foreground and background detail and the small size of the duck, it almost seems like a photo of a portrait backdrop with a little duck sticker on it.

I like it. Simple and clean with nice colors.

I like it, but I think it looks more like a gull than a duck.
