“In most cases, they appear to use Canadian residence as a safe haven, a means to raise funds, to plan or support overseas activities or as a way to obtain Canadian travel documents which make global travel easier — or they combine any or all of these activities,” says the report, which is titled “Exploitation of Canada’s Immigration System: An Overview of Security Intelligence Concerns.”

Terrorists Are ‘Free and Easy’

Canada is well-known among terrorists around the world as one of the easiest countries to enter undetected, says Alan Bell, president of Globe Risk Holdings, an international security consulting firm based in Toronto.

If terrorists can enter the US from Canada wouldn't that mean that US authorities felt they were not a threat as well? I think that BOTH of our countries need to do some work to tighten up our immigration and internal security...

There would have never been a movie entitled The Jackal without this Canadian connection.

Various sources point to many other directions from whence these terrorists came, including inside US. Odd, no sign of ABC news, which first spread the malicious misinformation about Canada, recanting and apologizing.

No apology from anyone, either, for endangering Canada and its good citizens with all of those potentially lethal airplanes sent north. US--what a great neighbour!

Anita - why not? Are you saying that there is no way that he couldn't have gotten a weapon easier in the US, with less worries about being caught trying to get it across the border?
