Non Football- Today Sucks!

I know it's only an educated guess, but if Bin-Lauden is found to be responsible for today, I think it's time to turn Afghanistan into a parking lot. I'm certain the Russians would have no problem holding the Northern Border while we went in and exterminated every person in that country who is affiliated with either Bin-Lauden or the Taliban.

This shit can not be tolerated. The response must be severe. I am sick of these fucking fanatics killing people in the name of whatever fictional character they worship.

On a side note. How in the fuck can our military allow this to happen? Were they asleep? I mean the first plane into the trade tower, I can sort of understand to a point. But the second is a little bit suspicious and the Pentagon is rediculous. Shoot the damn things down if need be, sucks for the people in the plane, but it would save those on the ground who still have a chance at survival.

Ok, I've vented.

I was in DC yesterday morning when the plane hit the Pentagon! Incredible. Traffic trying to get out of DC was gridlock for about 4 hours, so a buddy and I walked around, down near the Monuments, the White House, etc. Everything has a guarded perimeter around it and if you walked where they had blocked off, it was very clear that you were to go back. At a bridge over the Potomac, near the Lincoln memorial there were people lined up, taking pictures and looking at the smoke pouring from the Pentagon. There was an eerie calm and silence that pervaded DC as we walked around, and as I was driving home to Philly, I realized how exhausted I was, and that there was almost a level of shock that everybody was feeling. Some folks were clearly on the edge of panic, wondering how they were going to get out of DC with Train and plane service shut down. By noon, all rental cars in the city were out, and they were making bus schedules to get folks to other major East Coast cities. It was an unbelievable, surreal place to be. My prayers go out to all those who were affected...
