Antique gurus:Does anyone have knowledge of Homer Laughlin china?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Wild Wild West : One Thread

Was going through some boxes in preparation of moving and found this box of HL china, found some info on the net but it wasn't very specific.I'd hate to sell it, only to find out later what it was really worth.

It's not a complete set and there are two different patterns.

GO to www.ebay.com & do a search for Homer Laughlin china. When the page of Homer Laughlin comes up enter your pattern in the new search box. That will give you an idea what the going price is.

BTW There are currently over 2600 auctions for Homer Laughlin china

Don't know if it's still so, but at one time, Homer Laughlin was the foremost manufacturer of dinnerware here in the U.S. Some of their stuff is highly collectible, some isn't. Just depends on what you've got and who wants it.

Homer Laughlin manufactured(s) the Fiestaware pattern. They also produce a great deal of institutional 'china' for use in hotels/restaurants/etc.

Ebay is probably your best bet to find out what you've got.

Capnfun: Email me the pattern names and I'll look them up in my reference books if you would like. Jan
