SACRAMENTO-The Governor's Office of Emergency Services reports that nine local government strike teams, totaling 45 engines and 180 fire fighters are being dispatched to the Poe Fire in Butte County. Throughout today, the following resources have been dispatched to the

Darby and Poe Fires through the State's Mutual Aid System, which is coordinated by the Governor's Office of Emergency Services:

·360 local government and State OES fire engines, with 1,440 fire fighters from throughout California ·3 California National Guard helicopters ·38 law enforcement officers from the following departments will coordinate evacuations and provide security in evacuated areas at the

Darby Fire through Thursday morning: o California Highway Patrol o Tuolumne County Sheriff Dpmt. o Amador County Sheriff Department o Modesto Police Department o Sacramento Sheriff's Department o Folsom Police Department o Elk Grove Police Department o Galt Police Department o Citrus Heights Police Department

The OES' Fire & Rescue Emergency Operations Center is activated and will deploy additional fire engines and other resources - through the

Mutual Aid System - as the need arises. Among those staffing the center are emergency services coordinators and uniformed fire and law

enforcement personnel,

FIRE FACTS: The Darby Fire in Calaveras County has grown to more than

1,000 acres and is 10 percent contained. Nearly 2,000 firefighters and 378 fire engines are battling the blaze. Approximately 397 homes

have been evacuated. The Poe Fire has burned 1,200 acres and has 0 percent containment. Nearly 600 firefighters are fighting the fire.

Two homes have been destroyed.
