Anyone have a line on a source for 9x12cm film these days? Got out an old Voightlander with the single metal film inserts & want to use it & have finally run out of Plus X. Are there any replacements in this size available anywhere or am I looking at cutting down 4x5? I can't use 4x5 holders as the metal inserts to fit the camera are matched & after one focuses & composes the back comes off & the single sheet of film in the metal holder slides into its place.

Ilford and Agfa (europe) are your most likely sources Dan. Ilford don't list the sheet film sizes they have available. They simply say "available in a wide range of sizes" for FP4plus, for example.
Agfa are listing apx100, optimaII, and Agfachrome100 as available in 9x12cm. See:

FOMA produces its Fomapan T200 B&W film in that size. Should be available from Fotoimpex in Berlin. It's a great film, BTW. Looks a lot like old Super X. I love the 35mm. Wish they would make it in 4x5.

Just about every film should be available in 9x12 cm: it is the traditional German equivalent to the Anglophone 4x5", and widely in use here. Nowadays film holders have the same outside dimensions as 4x5.

So, try any German Photo store. If you want it on the cheap - which does not mean less quality! - try Banse and Grohmann in Wernigerode. As I have said before on this forum, they sell *any* film size (of films of Eastern European brands) in *any* quantity. Their email: bg_banse_und_Grohmann@t-online.de

Most modern emulsions are available in 9x12 here in Sweden too, but the German mail order places are cheaper, and will have cheaper shipping costs to the US. UK suppliers can also get hold of 9x12, which will give you lower postage still, but it is more of a special order size. Also, Kodak UK is rather odd in refusing to supply goods which are not in their local catalogue, so if you're after TMX you are best off on the continent.
