I didn't go, shame on me, but I see Steve Caldwell got sent off against Croatia U-21s. When I did see him against Belgium U-21s he was skinned for pace all night. Might well turn out not be very top drop, only a Scotland international probably.

The report in The Scotsman doesn't say. They give him a right slating though. It was a second bookable offence, they don't describe the first one, only the rugby tackle of a second one. Croatia scored within 5 minutes of him being sent off. No mention of Gary although he did play the full 90 minutes
