Six fishermen die in pirate attackTuesday, August 28, 2001 at 09:30 JST MANILA — Six fishermen have been found dead in southern Philippine waters, apparently the victim of pirates, police said Monday.
The bullet-riddled bodies of the fishermen were found by fellow fishermen Sunday aboard two pump boats adrift at sea off a coastal town in Zamboanga del Sur Province about 800 kilometers south of Manila. (Kyodo News)
