The average Web surfer in South Korea spent 19 hours and 20 minutes a month online in July, more than Internet users in any other country. A monthly survey by Nielsen-NetRatings shows Hong Kong ranked second, with an average browsing time of 12 hours and 12 minutes, followed by the United States, where computer fans spent ten hours and 19 minutes on the Net. The study finds Web surfing is leapfrogging, as fixed-line telephones become more common in developing countries. For example, in India, just seven percent of households have fixed-line phones. But ten percent of homes are expected to gain Internet access in the next year.

These countries are well behind me. I spend at least twenty five hours a week on line.
