They should rename the place phoenix because of the number of times it goes down and rises from its own ashes. To tell you the truth guys its probably because its gaining in popularity and needs a bit of a hardware infusion to keep up with the traffic. Its been upgraded more than once because of this.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is an issue that has come up during an attempt to upload the threads from the old EZB. Tech problem, and will be handled in due course. (But I suppose you can yuk-it-up, as you obviously STILL have nothing better to talk about here in vapor-land...)

From the lips of Dennis:

All threads posted here will be loaded directly into the vB system as soon as tech support solves whatever issue is causing problems. Sometime tomorrow I guess... In the meantime, welcome back to the "back lot".

I hate computers....

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." - H.L. Mencken

"Today there are certain ideas which are so explosive that even to acknowledge their existence publicly, is to incur the most savage penalty from the reigning liberal establishment. Your persecutors will be the people who most preach tolerance. Yet they are the most intolerant of all." - Author unknown

heh, heh Dennis you intolerant SOB!

Wasn't someone supposed to have written something about TB2K in the last day or two which could have caused a lot of people to go there to check it out? That could cause an overload, if too many people were attempting to access it at once.

The old TB2K went down because a download program had been passed around to the forum members and they were all trying to download copies of it at the same time. This had the same effect as the problem today, just a different reason for the overload of the server.
