Playing VCD on my standalone DVD player

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I can play VCD's fine on my computer using Windows Media Player or PowerDVD, but when I play on my standalone DVD(JVC XV-S45)it works but the quality is so poor cannot watch. The video stops and jumps forward about every 2to 3 seconds, the audio has load pops and scracthes. My DVD is VCD compliant and plays my audio CD-R's just fine. Any ideas??? Thanks,

Go to www.vcdhelp.com and check the DVD Compatibility List to see what it says about your DVD player. Your DVD player may be fussy about CD-R and the compatibility list should tell you what kind of media works best.
