Memorex CDRWs don't work anymore

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I used to use Memorex platinum cdrws to record vcds to play on my old RCA dvd player. Now all the ones I buy now won't work on that RCA. Did they change the formula? Memorex used to be the only one that consistently worked on my dvd player. What happened? Anyone else have any suggestions?

Well, you can try Princo silver. I've been using it for my Sony 850 DVD changer and no problem so far.

Memorex CDR's and CDRW's are complete crap. They seem to record fine, and you can read them fine for a few months, then suddenly, when you need them, they refuse to be read!!! They are JUNK!!!!!
