At wall mart in the canning section, they have 1 pd. bags, they are green, of pickle lime. and on the back is a recipe for Lime pickles. I tryed them and they are great. they come out crunchy, the taste is good too. Irene

Hi, The bags of Lime is called Mrs Wages pickling lime, and the recipe is on the back of bag. If you can"t find it. E Mail me and I will give you the recipe. any lime would do. Love Irene

Will these make cukes that are not dilly but garlicky like the great kind I've only found at good northern deli's?

Have been looking for recipes for "limed" pickles. Don't think we have Mrs. Wages available, but did find Ball Pickling Lime. No recipes on the can - only a few guidelines for use. Any pickle recipes would be appreciated. Thanks
