Are they lg? if so they are true pig lice and stay on pigs only. Feed stores carry a dust for them, seven may work also.

Used car oil. It suffocates the lice. Just cover them in it--helps keep the flies off them also.

Howdy from the southwest, James. Well, Sevin works on my goats & I use it at shearing time. But, for in-between maintenance, I have good luck with diatomaceous earth (DE), too... no poison in it to possibly harm the animal. Check out the archives under 'Pests' for more lengthy info on DE. You can get it at the feed store or garden supply store. It's cheap, too, & you can use it for lots of things around the homestead.. a good investment. Adios. dh in nm

Hi - lice will always be found on pigs and presents no problems to humans. all it does is irritate the pigs , they can't sleep well and will eventually loose conditions and have scurvy looks on their skins.

I use a product in South Africa called DAZZLE and spray it on as soon as lice are seen. The lice dissapears within a day.

If you require further info on this product, mail me to my address.

Regards

Alan
